Cloud Architect vs DevOps Engineer: Emerging Job Roles of 2025 https://networkinterview.com/cloud-architect-vs-devops/ https://networkinterview.com/cloud-architect-vs-devops/#respond Tue, 26 Nov 2024 12:10:34 +0000 https://networkinterview.com/?p=15309 Intoduction: Emerging Job Roles

What is the difference between the Cloud Architect and DevOps Engineer? These new roles with growth of Cloud technologies has increased the confusion about roles? In this article, we will try to demystify some of concepts related to both job roles and try to provide clarity about the Cloud Architect and DevOps Engineer and the difference between them. Let’s start with a short introduction to both.

Who is a Cloud Architect?

A Cloud Architect is a technical expert who designs the infrastructure of cloud-based servers and systems by taking the customer or business requirements in the mind.

People often mistake Cloud Administrator and Cloud Engineer for Cloud Architect. The Cloud Administrator manages and oversees the Cloud Operations whereas the Cloud Architect design and remodels them.

They are reflective in the approach. They overlook the problems in the existing infrastructure and designs and reflect the mistakes and create a new infrastructure for the business.

Roles & Responsibilities of Cloud Architect

Here are the roles and responsibilities of the Cloud Architect –

  • They decide the operating procedures, data migration, development operations, etc…
  • Deep knowledge of programming knowledge like Java, PHP, Python, etc… And they should also have experience or a strong understanding of cloud-based platforms like Azure, AWS, and GCP, etc…
  • They should have a futuristic approach and record the designs for future use.
  • Communicates the designs to the other staff, engineers, and technicians and guides them.
  • He/she determines how the cloud infrastructure should be designed and how it should be used to meet the final customers’ needs.
  • The Cloud Architect has to communicate with the major stakeholders and other third parties and convince them to initiate new and innovative methods.

What is DevOps Engineer?

DevOps is expanded as the Development Operations. It is the framework of Software development that acts as a bridge between the development team and the Operations team. The role acts as the bridge between Cloud Operations and Cloud Development.

The prime motive of DevOps is to reduce the barriers in traditional software development and make the process fast and efficient. DevOps team includes the cloud Engineers, cloud technicians, Data managers, Cloud administrators, etc…

In small organizations, there will be only two positions like Cloud Architect and Cloud engineer, but if the organizations were large then they should adopt a DevOps team consisting of various personalities.

Difference between the Cloud Architect and DevOps Engineer

From the above definition, you should have got a basic idea of what we are talking about. From the table given below, you can understand the difference between Architect and DevOps team in a Cloud Platform.

PARAMETER

CLOUD ARCHITECT

DEVOPS ENGINEER

Organizational position

Leader, decision-maker, and organizer of the Cloud Computing A Mediator – Acts as a bridge between the development team and operation team.
Focus Focus on the organizational goals and ensure all the needs and requirements are fulfilled in the design. The DevOps Engineer mainly focuses on the developmental process. He tries to make it fast and reliable.
Area of Work Planning and Designing – look for new upgrades and involve in innovation. A DevOps engineer is responsible for various Development operations and Software application in the cloud platform (Cluster)
Qualifications Bachelor or master degree in computer engineering and cloud-based certifications, or in any related field Bachelor’s degree or basic knowledge in Cloud platforms and deep practical skills.
Duties Communicates with high authorities like the CEO, CTO, business vendors, and suggests to them about new Cloud technologies and methods to adopt them. The DevOps engineer communicates with both the operation and development team and forms a perfect development plan thinking of both sides.
Ranking He/she ranks above all the technical Personals involved in cloud-based solutions. His/her ranking may differ from the organization. He/she might be equal or sub-ordinate to the Cloud Architect.
Alternative Replaces the place of Cloud Administrator In short firms, the role is replaced with Cloud Engineer, tech-consultant, and programmers.

Download the difference table here.

Are you still confused? Okay, let me explain this to you in an understandable way.

Assume DevOps Engineer as a builder and Cloud Architect as an Engineer. A builder will know how to build, how to put the bricks, and how to efficiently use the building tools. The Engineer designs the plan including the ventilation, wire connections details.

The same applied to software development. If you have any further questions please leave them in the comment section.

Questions To Ask Yourself Before Becoming A Freelancer https://networkinterview.com/becoming-a-freelancer/ https://networkinterview.com/becoming-a-freelancer/#respond Wed, 17 Jan 2024 17:29:25 +0000 https://networkinterview.com/?p=20482 Are you thinking about starting a career as a freelancer? Many people have been making the switch in recent times, which is understandable when you look at some of the perks of freelancing. Freelance professionals put themselves in control, allowing them to set their own schedules and create a healthy work-life balance.

Freelancing has many benefits, but you also need to recognize that it has a few drawbacks and is not suited to all. There are a few key questions that you should ask yourself before starting a career as a freelancer. By the end of this article, you will have a better idea of whether it is right for you or not.

Why Do I Want To Be A Freelancer?

First, you should ask yourself exactly why you want to be a freelancer. There are many good reasons, such as flexibility and control, but it is important to identify exactly what about freelancing is appealing to you. If it is because you do not like your current boss, you might be better off simply looking for a new job.

Will I Be Able To Manage The Fluctuation In Income?

Perhaps the biggest challenge involved in freelancing is the fluctuation in income. It is normal in most fields to have a workload that changes each month, so you need to be able to manage the fluctuations both financially and mentally. Generally, it is recommended that you have between three and six months of expenses in an emergency fund you can use for quiet periods/emergency costs.

Am I Financially Responsible?

Leading on from this, it is also important that you are financially responsible as a freelancer. You will need to manage both your personal and business finances and avoid merging the two together. If you struggle with managing money but want to become a freelancer, you can learn smart financial management and use accounting software to keep on top of your expenses.

Is There Demand?

Much like starting a new business, you must also consider if there is a demand for your services. You do not want to make the leap to freelance work only to find that there is currently no demand, so you need to conduct market research and gain an understanding of the current situation and what the future will look like.

Do I Have A Suitable Workspace?

When you start a freelance career, you need to make sure that you have a suitable workspace that will allow you to work to your potential each day. For many freelancers, this will be a home office. If you have a home office, you need to make sure that you have a decent setup that will allow you to work comfortably and free from distractions.

Additionally, you need to consider if your internet plan will be sufficient for your business and household. Many people will need to upgrade to high-speed internet, particularly if there are other users online at the same time as when they are working. A fiber internet provider in Connecticut offers speeds of up to 5 gigabits per second with no usage limits, which will be ideal for a home-office setup in a busy household.

How Will I Attract Clients?

You must also consider how you will attract clients. This is another major challenge for freelancers as you must secure ongoing work to get a regular income. It is helpful if you have a large professional network that you can utilize, but you also need to know how to properly market yourself and promote your services.

What Are My Rates?

Setting your rates can be challenging. You will want to make sure that you are able to make enough money, but you do not want to price yourself out and lose out to the competition. Therefore, you need to strike the right balance and analyze your competitors. When first getting started, you might need to lower your rates in order to start building your experience and reputation.

These are the main questions that you should ask yourself before launching a freelance career. There are certainly many perks, and it works well for some people, but it is not for everyone, and there are a number of notable challenges to prepare yourself for.

Ethical Hacking vs Cyber Security: 6 Key Differences https://networkinterview.com/ethical-hacking-vs-cyber-security/ https://networkinterview.com/ethical-hacking-vs-cyber-security/#respond Tue, 26 Sep 2023 18:19:40 +0000 https://networkinterview.com/?p=20098 Ethical Hacking and cyber security are two concepts we often remain confused about. To get a basic idea of the difference between ethical hacking and cyber security, remember that both terms have the same goal: to keep data safe. The importance of data security is a concern for all. Let’s talk about how the roles of cybersecurity and ethical hacking differ in 6 key notes.

Ethical Hacking vs Cyber Security

1. Job role

A cybersecurity expert’s main job is to do regular checks and find places where systems aren’t working as well as they could. A cybersecurity expert must use the most effective technology to improve the security system. Professionals in cybersecurity should keep the security system up to date by maintaining it daily. For better system security, the cybersecurity expert should give people the right permissions to enter the system.

  • Cybersecurity experts must explain what will happen if an attack harms the company.
  • A cybersecurity expert’s job is to develop many ways to strengthen the security system.
  • Professionals must look for bugs and risks in both hardware and software. Their job is to handle and monitor any attacks and intrusions. The experts have to find a possible threat or attempt at a breach and fix the security hole. Firewalls are built into the way networks work.
  • Ethical hackers check how well a system works by looking for different security holes.
  • The specialist must check the business’s safety system and suggest ways to improve it.
  • Pen tests should be done regularly on the system, web app, and network to see if ethical hackers can get past the security. When ethical hackers find security holes, they should write reports about them and leave comments once the problems have been fixed.
  • Ethical hackers must tell the company how the attack could hurt its users and processes.
  • Ethical hackers should use hacking tools to suggest ways to fix problems with the system. Providing the right role to the right employee is crucial to avoid disengagement or isolation of employees

2. Objectives

Cybersecurity is keeping private data on the Internet and gadgets safe from being stolen, deleted, or accessed by people who aren’t supposed to. With cyber security, you can keep your information, systems, and gadgets safe from people who want to get into them. Ethical hacking aims to make a system or network safer by fixing bugs found during tests. Ethical hackers use the same methods and tools as cyber attackers but only do so with the verified user’s permission to make systems safer and stop attacks from unfriendly users.

3. Methods

IoT (Internet of Things) security, network security, cloud security, application security, and critical infrastructure security are all parts of cyber security.  These techniques can help keep computers, networks, and other devices safe. Ethical hacking includes phishing, sniffing, social engineering, inserting SQL data, hijacking, leaving footprints, listing, and cryptography.  Ethical hackers can use these hacking techniques to make systems and networks safer. If you want to protect systems, these methods work better when used by a skilled hacker. They are also more reliable and protect networks and systems with the newest security features.

4. Work Intention

A cyber security expert’s job is to defend the system from attacks. It’s a job of defence. An expert ethical hacker’s main goal at work is to attack, meaning they focus on how to flood the system with attacks. This is an offensive job.

5. Process

Cyber security analysts can do their jobs better when they have a clear plan to follow. They need to:

  • Identify assets.
  • Protect assets.
  • Monitor systems.
  • Respond to incidents.
  • Continuously improve.

Ethical hackers need a lot of knowledge and experience to find all the flaws and use them to their full potential. Here are the steps that make up the ethical hacking process:

  • Gathering information
  • Scanning and testing the system
  • Gaining access legitimately
  • Maintaining access
  • Covering tracks

6. Responsibilities

As a cybersecurity expert, one of your jobs is to keep the system safe by setting up resources, access controls, and rights. By finding oddities and making notes of breaks, problems can be found. By examining trends, current needs, and future needs, ensures that security measures are in place.

Ethical hackers talk about current security system and look into the company’s system, network structure, and possible entry points. They also do several penetration tests on the system and find and write down security holes and breaches.

Conclusion

Ethical hacking is finding security holes that others can use before hackers do. Cybersecurity, on the other hand, is about lowering risks through different security methods. Both of these reasons are related to data privacy concerns. There are more dangers and attacks on data online than ever, making cybersecurity and ethical hacking more important.

How to Effectively Showcase Promotions on Your Resume? Update your Resume https://networkinterview.com/showcase-promotions-on-your-resume/ https://networkinterview.com/showcase-promotions-on-your-resume/#respond Mon, 22 May 2023 12:21:05 +0000 https://networkinterview.com/?p=19593 If you’ve worked hard to earn a promotion, it’s important to showcase your accomplishments and career growth on your resume. Not only does this demonstrate your ability to take on new responsibilities and succeed in a higher position, but it also shows potential employers your dedication and commitment to your job.

In this article, we’re going to provide you with a comprehensive guide on how to effectively showcase promotions on your resume.

From understanding the different types of promotions to highlighting your achievements and relevant skills, we’ll give you all the tools you need to make sure your promotion shines on your resume. We’ll even cover how to tailor your resume to the job description and use metrics to quantify your accomplishments.

By the end of this article, you’ll have the knowledge and confidence to showcase your promotion(s) in a way that highlights your professional growth and achievements. So, let’s get started!

Understand the Different Types of Promotions

So, you’ve earned a promotion! Congratulations! Now, before you start bragging about it on your resume, it’s important to understand the different types of promotions out there.

There’s internal promotions, cross-functional promotions, and promotions with a change in job title or responsibilities – each with its own unique characteristics.

An internal promotion is when you move up within the same department or team, while a cross-functional promotion is when you take on a new role in a different department or team. Then, there are promotions where you take on new responsibilities or a new job title within the same department or team.

Knowing the type of promotion you received is key to effectively highlighting it on your resume. If you were promoted to a new department, for example, you might want to focus on how you adapted to new challenges and responsibilities.

By understanding the type of promotion you received, you’ll be able to tailor your resume to showcase your career growth in the most effective way possible.

Start With A Strong Professional Summary

Picture this: you’re trying to impress a potential employer with your impressive career growth and promotions, but they’re too busy to read through every detail of your work history.

This is where your professional summary comes in clutch. It’s like the elevator pitch of your resume! Use this section to give a brief overview of your work experience, but don’t forget to highlight those hard-earned promotions. Showcasing your career progression will give the reader a glimpse of your professional journey and the level of responsibility you’ve taken on.

Then, dive into the juicy details – highlight your key achievements and responsibilities from each promotion. This will show your potential employer how you’ve thrived in your roles and how you’ve added value to your previous companies. Don’t forget to quantify your achievements with specific examples and measurable results.

A strong professional summary will grab the reader’s attention and leave them wanting more. It’s like the opening act to the main event – set the stage for the rest of your impressive resume!

Use Action-Oriented Language in Describing Promotion

If you want to make your promotion shine on your resume, then using action-oriented language is a must. You need to show your potential employer that you’re a doer, not just a spectator.

One way to achieve this is by using powerful verbs that convey action and achievement. Forget about the mundane “promoted” or “elevated” and instead opt for dynamic verbs like “initiated,” “executed,” or “championed.”

These verbs will showcase the proactive role you played in earning the promotion and demonstrate your ability to take on new challenges.

But don’t stop there. Share specific details, use metrics, and provide examples that show how you added value to the company and made a difference.

Using action-oriented language will elevate your promotion on your resume and make it stand out from the rest, giving your potential employer a clear understanding of your professional growth and impact.

Highlight Accomplishments

When it comes to showing off your promotion on your resume, don’t just focus on the title change – highlighting your accomplishments is what truly makes you stand out.

This will show your potential employer that you’re not only able to take on new challenges but that you’re able to excel in them.

Don’t be afraid to include metrics and specific numbers to quantify your accomplishments and give your potential employer a better understanding of your impact.

It’s also important to showcase how you’ve made a positive impact in the organization. Did you lead a project that saved the company significant costs, or did you implement a new process that increased efficiency?

Be sure to highlight these accomplishments to show your potential employer that you’re not just a team player, but a valuable asset.

Mention Additional Responsibilities

Don’t forget to mention any additional responsibilities that came with the promotion!

But it’s not just about the added responsibility – it’s also about how these responsibilities helped you develop new skills. For example, did you take on a leadership role or start managing a team? Did you spearhead new projects or oversee new initiatives?

By showcasing the additional responsibilities you took on, you’ll demonstrate your ability to grow and adapt to new challenges.

Furthermore, you can use this as an opportunity to highlight any new skills you learned as a result of these added responsibilities, such as project management or leadership skills.

List Relevant Skills

When it comes to showcasing your promotion on your resume, listing your relevant skills is a crucial step in demonstrating your qualifications for the new role.

You need to identify the key skills that are relevant to the position and show how you have developed them. This will not only show your potential employer that you have the necessary skills to excel in the new role but also help you stand out from other candidates.

It’s essential to provide specific examples of how you have utilized these skills in the new role, such as managing a team or working on a large-scale project.

Furthermore, explaining how these skills have contributed to your professional growth will show your potential employer that you’re a well-rounded candidate who is committed to improving their skills.

Did you learn new technical skills or develop stronger communication skills? Did you gain experience working with clients or managing budgets? Highlighting these skills will demonstrate your ability to continue growing and evolving in your career, making you a valuable asset to any organization.

Conclusion

In conclusion, how you show promotion on your resume can be a game-changer in your career. The article has discussed several key points that can help you effectively showcase your promotion(s) on your resume.

From highlighting your accomplishments, mentioning additional responsibilities, listing relevant skills, and using metrics to quantify achievements, these tips can help you stand out from other candidates. It’s important to remember that tailoring your resume to highlight your promotion(s) can make all the difference.

You need to emphasize your growth, development, and how you have contributed to the success of the organization. By doing so, you’ll show your potential employer that you’re a valuable candidate.

So, don’t miss the opportunity to update your resume and showcase your promotion(s) with confidence. Start now, and good luck in your job search!

How To Effectively Screen & Interview Tech Candidates in Latin America https://networkinterview.com/interview-tech-candidates-in-latin-america/ https://networkinterview.com/interview-tech-candidates-in-latin-america/#respond Sun, 12 Mar 2023 09:48:08 +0000 https://networkinterview.com/?p=19336 Screening and interviewing tech candidates in Latin America requires a specific set of skills and considerations. One of the first steps is to understand the concept of nearshore development, which refers to outsourcing software development to neighboring countries with similar time zones, cultures, and languages. This approach can offer significant cost savings and faster turnaround times than offshore development. When screening candidates for nearshore development, it’s important to evaluate their technical skills, communication abilities, and cultural fit.

If you are looking to hire technical talent in Latin America, it’s important to remember that the interviewing process may differ from what you’re used to. It is critical to fully understand not just the area’s culture and etiquette but also their methods of recruitment and evaluation. Before you begin your search, you should become familiar with the traditional interview format practiced in Latin America and create a list of specific questions tailored to your posted job. Doing so will ensure that all potential candidates are treated equally and respected.

Preparation is key in order to maximize your chances of successfully hiring technical talent in Latin America. Recruiting specialists suggest creating a balanced list of technical and soft skills questions in order to get the best picture of each candidate’s capabilities. Additionally, it’s important to consider how you want to evaluate tech candidates for their particular positions. You may want to ask them relevant coding or development questions or have them showcase examples of prior work that they’ve completed. In this blog post, we will provide you with some tips on how to screen and interview tech candidates in Latin America effectively.

1. Understand The Culture

Before interviewing Tech candidates from Latin America, it is essential to understand their culture. This will help you build a good rapport with them and make the interview process more comfortable for both parties. Latin Americans are known for their warm and friendly nature. They value personal relationships and tend to prioritize them over work-related matters. Therefore, it is important to establish a connection with the candidate before diving into the technical aspects of the interview.

2. Verify Technical Skills

When hiring tech talent, it is crucial to verify their technical skills thoroughly. You can do this by conducting a technical test or asking them about their previous projects and experiences. It is also important to keep in mind that English may not be the first language for many Tech candidates in Latin America. Therefore, it is advisable to conduct interviews in both English and Spanish (or Portuguese) if possible.

3. Use Video Interviews

A video interview can provide an advantage to the recruitment process, allowing you to save money and time while better understanding each candidate’s personality and communication style. Multiple video interview platforms are available that make it easy for you to conduct remote interviews quickly and efficiently. Don’t miss out on this invaluable opportunity – incorporate video interviewing into your hiring strategy today.

4. Ask Behavioural Questions

Behavioural questions are an excellent way to assess a candidate’s problem-solving skills, decision-making abilities, and teamwork capabilities. For example, you can ask questions like “Tell me about a time when you had to solve a complex problem” or “Describe your experience working in a team. These questions will give you insights into how the candidate thinks and approaches challenges.

5. Check References

Checking references is an essential part of the hiring process that should not be overlooked. It allows you to verify information provided by the candidate and get feedback from previous employers or colleagues. When checking references, make sure to ask specific questions related to the candidate’s technical skills, work ethic, communication skills, and ability to work in a team. So, these are some of the tips that can help you successfully hire technical talent in Latin America.

Conclusion

Hiring tech talent in Latin America can be challenging but rewarding if done correctly. By following these tips on effectively screening and interviewing tech candidates in Latin America, you can increase your chances of finding top-quality talent that fits your organization’s needs. So,  what are you waiting for? Start your search today.

How to make a career in Cybersecurity or Ethical hacking? 2025 https://networkinterview.com/career-in-cybersecurity-ethical-hacking/ https://networkinterview.com/career-in-cybersecurity-ethical-hacking/#respond Tue, 03 Jan 2023 15:05:27 +0000 https://networkinterview.com/?p=18980 Career in Cybersecurity

In this digital world, data is everywhere. This ensures that there are ample opportunities for people who have a passion for ethical hacking, known as “ethical hackers” to find jobs with companies that need their services. A Cybersecurity job requires technical skills and the ability to think strategically. It’s not just about figuring out how to hack into a system; it involves finding ways to protect sensitive data and make sure that systems can’t be hacked. This article will explore what it takes to make a career in Cybersecurity, look at different types of Cybersecurity job opportunities, explain educational requirements and give advice on how to become one.

What is a Cybersecurity Expert?

A Cybersecurity expert is someone who has mastered the art of hacking and uses their expertise to protect a company’s systems. He/She is an individual who has the skills and expertise to protect a company’s computer networks and sensitive data by finding and fixing vulnerabilities. As more companies move their data to the cloud, the need to protect remote data has increased.

Cybersecurity associate uses its hacking skills ethically to test systems for vulnerabilities. They use the same hacking tools malicious hackers use to find security holes and then fix them. Cybersecurity associates are also responsible for keeping company employees safe from online threats by training them about cybersecurity best practices.

Cybersecurity is a growing field with a projected 22% increase in jobs from 2016 to 2026, which is much faster than average. There is currently a shortage of skilled workers in this field, so the demand for qualified candidates will be high.

Career in Cybersecurity: Jobs

There are many different types of jobs in the Cybersecurity field, and each has its own specific set of skills and duties. The type of job you choose will likely reflect the type of education you have.

  • Penetration Tester (PT): Penetration testers hack into computer systems to see how easy it is to gain unauthorized access. They often do this with network security monitoring software and by creating false logins. As part of their job, they might also investigate data breaches or other cyber attacks. Penetration testing is a common task of ethical hackers.
  • Computer Network Defense: Computer network defenders try to stop attackers from gaining access to computer systems. They might design security systems and policies or perform incident response. Computer network defenders often work in the government or military.
  • Digital Forensics: Digital forensics experts investigate data breaches or other cyber attacks. They collect evidence for law enforcement and might testify in court about what happened.
  • CyberSecurity Engineers – CyberSecurity Engineers design systems that protect computer networks. They will often be involved in the installation of new systems and may also be responsible for making sure that the systems are operating correctly.
  • CyberSecurity Analysts – CyberSecurity Analysts investigate cybersecurity incidents and breaches. They will often be involved in the forensics part of investigations and may be required to testify in court cases.
  • CyberSecurity Incident Response Teams – CyberSecurity Incident Response Teams are responsible for responding to cybersecurity incidents. These incidents can range from small data breaches to large-scale cyber warfare.
  • CyberSecurity Risk Managers – CyberSecurity Risk Managers assess risk to a company’s computer systems. They will make recommendations to senior management on how to improve security and which systems need more attention.
  • CyberSecurity Strategists – CyberSecurity Strategists design the overall cybersecurity strategy for a company. They will develop plans to protect computer networks and identify areas of risk.

CyberSecurity Engineers, Analysts and Incident Response Teams are often employed by organizations such as defense contractors and government agencies that deal with sensitive information. Risk Managers and Strategists typically work for companies that manage sensitive data, such as financial institutions, healthcare providers and retail companies.

Educational Requirements

There is no degree specifically for Cybersecurity, but there are many degree programs that will prepare you for a career in Cybersecurity, such as –

  • Information or Computer Science: These programs will teach you fundamentals such as programming and computer systems. You also might study cryptography, machine learning, artificial intelligence or other topics relevant to cybersecurity.
  • Information Systems: An information systems degree program will combine computer science with business courses. You’ll learn about systems design and management, including how to protect computer systems.
  • Computer Engineering: Computer engineers need to know about computer systems, programming and networks. You’ll learn about how computers work and how to design systems that run efficiently.
  • Computer Forensics: A computer forensics degree will teach you about collecting evidence from computers. You might learn about network security, digital evidence, cryptography and computer crime laws.

How to Become a Cybersecurity Expert

  • Start with a Boot Camp: Boot camps are intensive courses that usually last three months. They often focus on cybersecurity, coding and data analytics. Boot camps are great ways to jump into a cybersecurity career quickly. You may be able to earn a certificate or degree after the program.
  • Get a Bachelor’s Degree: You may want to earn a bachelor’s degree to get a job or advance in your career. Most employers prefer job candidates with a bachelor’s degree, and this degree may help you earn more.
  • Find an Internship: You may want to get experience before you start applying for jobs in Cybersecurity. This can be helpful if you don’t have the right education or don’t have the time to go back to school. Look for cybersecurity organizations that offer internships.
  • Get Experience: Many employers hire people with experience in a field. You can build your experience by creating your cybersecurity project. You might want to work on your own or as part of a team.

Cybersecurity Certifications

Many different certifications can help you. You can earn many of these by taking online courses or by studying at a college or university. The SANS Institute is one of the most well-known organizations for cybersecurity training. It offers a variety of courses, including Introduction to Cybersecurity and Ethical Hacking.

These courses are designed for beginners and are a great way to get started in the field. Another well-known organization is (ISC)2. It offers many different cybersecurity certifications, including

  • Certified Cybersecurity Risk Engineer (CCRE),
  • Certified Cybersecurity Risk Management (CCRM) and
  • Certified in Cybersecurity Defense (CCD).

CyberOps Associate certification

The Cisco Certified CyberOps Associate accreditation is designed to affirm the everyday, tactical knowledge and abilities that Security Operations Center staffs require to identify and answer cyber security risks. The CyberOps Associate exam and education are connected to understanding and capabilities associated with security principles, protection tracking, host-based assessment, network intrusion analysis, and security protocols and guidelines.

Bottom Line

Cybersecurity is a growing field with a projected 22% increase in jobs from 2016 to 2026, which is much faster than average. There is currently a shortage of skilled workers in this field, so the demand for qualified candidates will be high.

With the rise of online learning and the many free courses available, it has become much easier for people to explore new careers and try out new fields. Cybersecurity is a great field to explore if you have a passion for technology and enjoy problem-solving.

How to make a career as a SaaS Developer? https://networkinterview.com/how-to-make-a-career-as-a-saas-developer/ https://networkinterview.com/how-to-make-a-career-as-a-saas-developer/#respond Sun, 06 Nov 2022 09:21:40 +0000 https://networkinterview.com/?p=18618 Software as a service (SaaS) is a type of software deployment model that delivers software services to users over the internet. The SaaS model enables third-party vendors to develop and host software applications so they can be accessed by consumers through a website, mobile app, or some other online platform.

Working as a SaaS developer means you’ll build apps for third-party businesses that sell access to their software as a service to end users. You might build these apps from scratch or use an application development framework such as Salesforce Lightning, Appccelerate, or Google APIs to speed up your development process.

If you’re interested in becoming a SaaS developer, this article will give you all the information you need to get started on your new career path.

What is a SaaS Developer?

A SaaS developer builds apps that are delivered as a service over the internet. The SaaS model enables third-party vendors to develop and host software applications so they can be accessed by consumers through a website, mobile app, or some other online platform.

SaaS apps can be used for almost anything, such as productivity tools, CRM systems, billing software, collaboration software, inventory management systems, database management systems, and more.

The SaaS model is appealing to software vendors because it’s less expensive to build and maintain the application. It’s also easier to scale up and down as the demand for the software grows and shrinks.

What Does a SaaS Developer Do?

  • SaaS developers are responsible for building and maintaining the software that powers a SaaS vendor’s business. If a company is selling access to its software as a service, you’ll probably find a SaaS developer on its team.
  • The SaaS developer builds the application, tests for bugs and defects, and helps iron out the kinks before the software is released to the public.
  • SaaS developers may also be responsible for maintaining and scaling their application as it grows. This may include monitoring the application’s uptime, analyzing user data to find bottlenecks and errors (and correcting them accordingly), and scaling the application to handle more simultaneous users.

Responsibilities of a SaaS Developer

As a SaaS developer, you’ll need to keep an eye on two things: the product and the business.

  • The product side of your job will involve building and maintaining the software that powers a SaaS vendor’s business. You may work with a development team to create the application, or you may be responsible for the entire development process yourself. Depending on the company, you may also be responsible for the design/user interface (UI) of the application.
  • The business side of your job will involve helping the company understand its customers. You may be involved in marketing activities, customer interviews, surveys, and other types of research. The SaaS developer also tracks the product’s performance and user feedback. You’ll need to make sure the product is working as expected, and that customers are receiving the best possible experience from it.

What skills does a SaaS developer need?

As a SaaS developer, you’ll need to have a wide range of technical and non-technical skills. The most important things you’ll need are the ability to communicate, curiosity, and the ability to solve problems.

  • To build high-quality software, you’ll need to be comfortable with a wide range of development languages, APIs, and design tools. Depending on the company, you may be building your application with technologies like Java, Python, .NET, Ruby, Javascript, Angular, or PHP.
  • You may also be using NoSQL databases, or data visualization tools like Tableau or PowerBI.
  • If you’re building an application for the web, you’ll probably need to be comfortable with the design principles of user experience design (UX).
  • You’ll also need to be able to communicate with the rest of the team and have a general understanding of marketing principles.
  • You’ll also need curiosity – curiosity about your customers, curiosity about the competition, curiosity about emerging technologies, and curiosity about business models.

Is it hard to get a job in SaaS?

The job market for SaaS developers is pretty strong, but the competition is fierce. If you’re looking for a job as a SaaS developer, you’ll need to make sure your resume and cover letter are up to par.

Fortunately, there are plenty of resources available to help you create a solid application. Because SaaS is such a popular model, you can expect to be asked about your experience with it in interviews. You’ll want to be prepared to talk about the SaaS model in general, as well as the most popular SaaS apps.

And since you’ll be applying for jobs with third-party software vendors, you’ll need to make sure your resume stands out. You can do this by including quantifiable results and numbers where applicable, and by focusing on the outcomes you helped achieve.

Conclusion – Should you consider a career in SaaS?

The SaaS model is growing in popularity because it’s cheaper and easier to maintain than traditional software deployment models. If you’re interested in a career in software, SaaS is a great option.

You’ll have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and new development methodologies. SaaS developers get the chance to work on everything from small pilot projects to massive, enterprise-level implementations.

There are plenty of opportunities out there for SaaS developers, and the demand for this type of work is only growing. The SaaS model is especially appealing to businesses, so you’ll likely see continued growth in this field. If you’re interested in a career in SaaS and software, you might be a great fit for this type of work.

7 seo career paths

7 Career Paths for SEO Specialists

Below is the list of career paths to choose for SEO specialists:

Search Engine Marketer

Search engine optimisation and search engine marketing (SEM) are frequently muddled up, but in reality they are extremely distinct.

In SEM, you must learn new abilities such as Pay Per Click advertising (PPC), marketing, and customer relationship management, in addition to SEO. Although many SEM professionals focus exclusively on paid search, you can combine SEM and SEO to manage both sides.

According to Payscale, SEM professionals earn a median income of $45,255, or around $2,300 more annually than typical SEOs. A SEM specialist must be able to handle Google AdWords, Bing AdWords, and other web analytics.

Business Marketing Consultant

Some SEO specialists go on to be professional business consultants, marketing specialists, and public speakers. Even though you must have had success with your own business or someone else’s to work as a consultant, you may become a public speaker and work with clients to improve their marketing and strategic planning.

You’ll generally be working with clients

  • to devise solutions to their unique demands,
  • strategize and implement search and marketing initiatives,
  • assess the effectiveness of existing tactics as well as those you introduce, and
  • provide long-term support and strategizing to those companies.

If you are idea and strategy motivated, consultancy is a wonderful opportunity. It is a business marketing specialist’s job to advice on marketing strategy, strategy, and tactics. The mean annual wage for this position is $57,610.

Digital Marketer

With your existing Search Engine Optimization experience, digital marketing is an easy way to broaden your range of skills and increase your salary. Digital marketers handle all kinds of online marketing, including SEO, SEM, PPC, and social media.

As a digital marketer, you must be able to develop and implement marketing strategies, use SEO, plan content, understand and use social media as part of long-term strategies, use analytics and data management, and work with advertising platforms to drive paid traffic.

Digital marketers earn about $46,919 annually on average, but certain web marketing, communications, and strategic marketing qualifications can increase your income.

Marketing Analyst

As an SEO specialist, you are undoubtedly well versed in data analytics. As a marketing analyst, your primary job is to use numbers to track the performance of existing initiatives, identify new ones, and generate reports and forecasts based on data.

Every year, marketing analysts make an average of $52,176, and those with qualifications in business analysis, strategy, market research, and SQL can benefit.

Content Marketer

If you are an SEO who prefers working with content rather than links and numbers, content marketing is a natural progression for you.

Creating blogs, outreach materials, videos, graphics, reports, and other content is part of content marketing. Your specific position will vary depending on the company, but most content marketing professionals work in a marketing team to make content decisions in a marketing plan.

With a starting salary of $56,414, content marketing also rewards significantly more than SEO alone.

SEO Manager

A company’s SEO squad may include data managers, SEO specialists, content strategists, technology specialists, and a number of other specialists. The larger the company, the bigger their SEO team, and the greater their advantage.

An SEO manager must understand search engine optimization and, at times, search engine marketing, but rather lead a team and develop marketing strategies than directly handle the day-to-day data and link analysis.

SEO managers earn a median income of $64,358, but may have a wide range of duties depending on the firm and the size of the team.

Entrepreneur

You can use your Search Engine Optimization skills to set your own terms and offer them to businesses as a self-employed professional. You might not receive the same salary if you start your own business in SEO or digital marketing, as your salary will vary depending on your firm, your launch, and the services you provide.

If you do have something to offer to businesses, prefer to work on a contract basis, or have some other reason to start your own business, starting your own business may be rewarding and profitable in the long term.

Final Words: Is Being an SEO Specialist Worth it?

SEO or Search Engine Optimization is a growing field that offers many opportunities for creative thinkers and problem solvers. If you enjoy researching and getting to the bottom of things, you have the potential to earn a great living while helping the world find the information they’re looking for.

Choosing the right career path is perhaps one of the most important decisions you’ll make in your life. It can have a major impact on your happiness, financial success and quality of life. So, before you make any decisions, make sure you’re fully informed about the pros and cons of each career path.

Resume Writing Tips After Job Termination https://networkinterview.com/resume-writing-tips-after-job-termination/ https://networkinterview.com/resume-writing-tips-after-job-termination/#respond Thu, 03 Nov 2022 11:20:24 +0000 https://networkinterview.com/?p=18610 How do you create a strong resume after being fired?

A resume is crucial for your job hunt because it provides one or two pages highlighting your qualifications and relevant skills. Employers use resumes to decide who to hire, and they can also help you land your first interview. Thus, you better structure your resume and think carefully about what information you must include.

But what if you just got terminated by your employer? How do you create a strong resume after being fired? For a variety of causes, employees got terminated from their jobs. However, it can give your potential employers a bad impression of you when you start searching for a new job.

Resume Writing Tips

If you find yourself in this situation, consider checking out the resume writing tips we have shared below. This way, your job termination won’t affect your chance of getting hired for a new job.

Tip 1: Don’t Talk About Being Terminated

Don’t mention being terminated on your resume. There’s no need for you to do so. Remember that according to the top recruitment agencies in the U.S., Canada, and the U.K., you should be reassured about putting a reason why your previous job ended. It should only be discussed during the interview whether you get fired or resigned.

Moreover, in Australia, recruitment firms in major cities such as Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane, advised that your resume should merely list the beginning and end dates of each position you’ve held without explaining your reasons for quitting your previous workplace.

Just concentrate on what you accomplished while serving in the previous positions you occupied and how your abilities and accomplishments will help you in the roles you have going forward. Until the recruiting manager inquires, there is no need to bring up your termination.

Tip 2: Keep the End Date Accurate

If your job has been terminated, avoid the impulse to continue listing it on your resume as “to present” to give the impression that you are still working there. When the job termination becomes public, potential employers might believe you intentionally misled them.

Additionally, putting a start and an end date on each position you hold is vital as it helps the Applicant Tracking System or ATS to rate your resume. Depending on how many months you held each post, it awarded you points. Your score, which might influence how high your resume ranks, increases with the number of months of experience you have.

The longer you have stayed in each position, the better you will be scored by the ATS. As a result, the employer will consider you as one of the most qualified applicants experience-wise.

Tip 3: Concentrate on Your Successes

Although it’s tempting to put your feelings aside and start writing a convincing description of your previous employer when revising your resume, you must avoid it at all costs. Focus on your achievements instead.

Your resume could dazzle prospective employers if you emphasize your successes and value proposition. Even if recruitment managers are curious about your departure circumstances, your CV should be compelling enough to result in interview requests.

Your accomplishments are the things you’ve done that left a lasting impression on your employer or client. It is an outcome that you individually create while doing a specific task. They typically involve stuff you develop, design, sell, or start.

It differs from the duties listed in a job description because those duties are constant regardless of who holds the position. An accomplishment shows the employer that you can perform and is particular to your experience. Keep your duty summaries brief and concentrate on noteworthy achievements instead.

Tip 4: Utilize the Right Words to Stand Out

Simple, uninspired descriptions of your work responsibilities and achievements won’t help you. Use strong action verbs to describe your duties and tasks, such as “achieved,” “designed,” “enhanced,” and “established.”

By doing this, you can convey important information while sounding assured. To avoid relying too heavily on action verbs, give information on how you enhanced a process or met a goal. Words like “professional,” “results-driven,” and “detail-oriented” don’t tell us much. So, you better avoid using them on your resume.

Additionally, you mustn’t also use terms like “go-to person,” “team player,” or “go-getter,” as they may sound cliche and come off as fluff that only takes valuable space on your resume.

Tip 5: Proofread Your Resume Many Times

Before delivering your CV to a potential employer, it is crucial that you carefully check it. Your odds of getting hired for your next job might be destroyed by typos, misspellings, poor grammar, and improper punctuation.

An error on your resume will follow you throughout the employment process. It will be read by several persons who will eventually impact the hiring decision. Perhaps one of them is particular about grammar usage. One negative impression caused by a mistake from one person is all it takes to give you a black mark that you could have prevented.

So, it’s highly encouraged that you revisit your resume multiple times and read it thoroughly. You can also quickly run it through grammar check software just to be sure that your resume is good to go.

Being Terminated Is Not a Deal-Breaker

Many applicants believe being terminated is a deal-breaker for an employer, but this isn’t always the case. How you handle the situation will influence the hiring manager’s impression of you. Everybody makes mistakes and encounters unpleasant things.

However, not everyone can do so, so if a potential employer notices that you can, they’ll recognize your adaptability and optimism as traits you will bring to the new job.
